LAU McVICAR

BIO
Lau McVicar is a self taught photographer. They are an 18 year old student at the University of King's College in Halifax Nova Scotia. They previously attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts where they began developing their film and working on their art. This is Lau’s first time displaying their art work publicly. Lau loves old cameras and has started to build an extensive collection. In their spare time, Lau loves canoe trips in Northern Ontario, to ski and to travel.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Lau McVicar creates their work using a Minolta XE-7 35mm camera. They have a passion for finding the beauty in the landscape of their hometown, Toronto. This series explores integral parts of the city through new lenses and viewing the beauty in the mundane.
