On July 12, Silvershack will be hosting two very special FREE events to mark the closing of the CONTACT Photography Festival show, Pitmen.
Artist Talk with Jeremy Grimshaw Join us for an exclusive artist talk with Jeremy Grimshaw as he shares Frank Grimshaw's journey in creating his impactful and historic work, "Pitmen." Frank Grimshaw was a photographer for the National Coal Board when he created his pitmen series, thought to be taken in support of a late 1960s recruitment campaign. For decades, this series of negatives was protected in an armoire and we are so fortunate to display the work at Silvershack as part of the CONTACT Photography Festival. Spaces are limited. RSVP here. Sip and See: An Afternoon with Bob Carnie Gallery owner and master printer Bob Carnie will be hosting a very special event for the CONTACT Photography Festival exhibit, Pitmen.
